Over the past two decades, regenerative biology has grown exponentially as a field. Richard Goss, regenerative biologist, said over 50 years ago: ‚If there were no regeneration, there would be no life. If everything regenerated, there would be no death. All organisms exist between these two themes. ‘
Now, the first international Society for Regenerative Biology (ISRB) will be launching virtually on April 8 to promote community, research, & education in the field of regeneration worldwide.
The core mission is to provide new opportunities for interactions, discoveries and recognition for scientists at all stages who are interested in regenerative biology.
‘ISBR provides an excellent opportunity to stimulate the scientific cross-disciplinary discourse to translate and connect basic findings to the clinic. We need to improve our insights into the decline of regeneration in the elderly and to understand how we can modulate the identified targets to slow aging and to treat disease,’ said Sabine Eming.
