Join Pint of Science as a global festival where you can grab a drink and chat with brilliant scientists about their latest research—no expertise required, just an opportunity to learn and meet the people shaping the future of science!

What is Pint of Science?

Pint of Science is an international non-profit festival that brings some of the brightest scientists to your local pub, where they share their latest research and discoveries with you. No need for any prior knowledge—this is your chance to meet the people shaping the future of science, all while enjoying a pint with them. The festival takes place over a few days in May.

The idea for Pint of Science began in 2012, when Dr. Michael Motskin and Dr. Praveen Paul from Imperial College London organized an event called "Meet the Researchers." The event inspired both visitors and researchers alike. Drs. Motskin and Paul then wondered, if people wanted to visit labs to meet scientists, why not bring the scientists out to the people? That’s how Pint of Science was born. The first festival took place in May 2013 in just three UK cities, and it has since grown into a global phenomenon, now held in over 400 cities.
