About the Workshop:
When you're thinking about your next career step – whether within academia or beyond – clarity is key. You need to understand what matters to you, what you're good at, and how to connect those insights to real opportunities.
In this workshop, we’ll help you explore your values, strengths, and transferable skills, and show you how to turn that self-knowledge into a career strategy that feels both authentic and adaptable.
You'll also gain a clear understanding of how the German academic system works, what kinds of career paths it offers, and what your options are beyond academia. We’ll discuss how to make informed decisions based on your goals, opportunities, and the realities of the research landscape.
Finally, we’ll look at how storytelling and networking can boost your visibility and help you position yourself for both planned and unexpected opportunities. Whether you're on a well-defined path or exploring new directions, this session offers practical tools, fresh perspectives, and space to reflect on what’s next.
