CECAD member receives grant to built up an Emmy Noether-Group

Dr Michael Lammers has received a five-year grant of nearly 1.4 million Euros as part of the Emmy Noether Program to set up a new Junior Research Group. With this, the DFG recognizes the potential of the postgraduate biologist’s prominsing work on the role of protein modification (through post-translational lysine-acetylation) in the regulation of cell form, mobility and structure. As leader of the Emmy-Noether Group, Dr Lammers will have the support of four postgraduate researchers and two technical assistants.
