Under the project management of Astrid Bergmeister, CECAD is taking part in the interactive exhibit „Keep the worm alive!“ on the exhibition ship „MS Wissenschaft“. This year with the theme ‘Research for our Health’, the floating science center will tour through Germany and Austria, visiting 35 cities. The initiative ‘Science in Dialogue’, sponsored by BMBF, was founded by the major German scientific organizations. The 2011 tour starts on 19th May in Stuttgart and up to the end of September will offer visitors exciting interactive insights into the human body. Besides a cool, animated trailer on the topic of metabolism and the video ‘Talking Heads’ with short statements by the CECAD PI’s, the CECAD exhibit has an interactive game to play: Keep the worm alive!  Here young visitors become managers of metabolism. The project was set up in close collaboration with PD Dr. Bernhard Schermer, Prof. Rudolf J. Wiesner and Dr. Thomas Wunderlich. On 24/25th August the ship will dock in Cologne and is hoping for plenty of visitors.

The game “Keep the worm alive!“ doesn’t have to be played on board, immediately you can have a go anywhere: www.young-cecad.de
