"I was born in Latin America to hard-working blue-collar parents. With my high school and college graduation, I had attained the highest degree that any woman or man in my family had ever achieved (respectively). Through my own experiences as a woman, immigrant, and underrepresented minority, I have first-hand experience in the challenges that minority men and women face in STEM fields and have worked tirelessly through countless outreach/inreach programs at every level of my training to become an agent of change."
