Next-generation sequencing at CECAD Cologne

CECAD Cologne's Genomics Facility, one of the central facilities of the Excellence Cluster, purchased the Illumina next-generation sequencing instrument: the Genome Analyzer GAIIx. This technique allows the decoding of a genome in a few days only. It will therefore enable enormous progress in the genome research in Cologne.
