“Epigenetics and metabolism in ageing and age-related diseases”

Organized by Alvaro Rada-Iglesias and Peter Tessarz

The CECAD Minisymposium 2017 on ‘Epigenetics and metabolism in ageing and age-related diseases’ organized by Alvaro Rada-Iglesias and Peter Tessarz in September 2017 was dedicated to an emerging topic – the relationship of metabolism with epigenetics. Speakers at the symposium came from the fields of human population genetics, cellular metabolism research and epigenetics. The talks led to very lively discussions between the participants and the attendees. Overall, it served as a networking platform to bridge these disciplines and all speakers agreed that this was a successful event.
