CECAD Cologne’s Imaging Facility started!

On 5 May 2009 was the official start of the Imaging Facility of CECAD Cologne, one of the central facilities of the Cluster of Excellence. So far it has five different microscopes available: a wide field fluorescence microscope (Nikon inverted microscope), a Delta Vision deconvolution microscope and three confocal microscopes (a Nikon A1, the Zeiss Meta 510 and the Leica SP2).
The Facility is led by Astrid Schauss (aschauss[at]uni-koeln.de). She is responsible for trainings, maintenance of the equipment and for support with analysis problems or the setting up of more advanced imaging techniques (e.g. FRAP, FRET).
