Two CECAD/MPI for Biology of Ageing senior postdoctoral grants available

One of the expressed aims of CECAD and the MPI for Biology of Ageing is to promote scientific independence of junior researchers at each career level.

We are now offering again two senior postdoctoral grants that cover the bench fee of 10,000 EUR/year and the salary for a technical assistance (TV-L E8) for two years for projects proposed by senior postdocs working in CECAD groups (including the MPI for Biology of Ageing) and that lie within the CECAD research focus. The goal is to fund projects that function as a springboard towards the own research group and therefore can be transferred to an independent position when leaving Cologne.

Requirement for funding is a novel project with milestones that can be achieved within the funding period of two years!

To apply, please submit a research proposal that includes:

• a detailed description of the project (max. 10 pages)
• a detailed outline of future career aims
• a CV
• a guarantee of the present CECAD supervisor that this project can be transferred upon obtaining an independent position.
