600 enthusiastic visitors experience the exciting world of aging research at the Open Day

On the Day of Aging Research, the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing and the Cluster of Excellence for Aging Research CECAD at the University of Cologne opened their doors and invited visitors to experience the exciting world of aging research at first hand. Around 600 enthusiastic guests came to find out more about the scientists' work.

Visitors had the opportunity to follow top researchers into their laboratories and look over their shoulders as they worked. They could see state-of-the-art microscopes and experience the research process up close.
There were experiment stations for the whole family to become researchers themselves. Scientists actively assisted the guests and explained the scientific background of the experiments.
The Aging Research Day was a great success and gave visitors the opportunity to experience the exciting world of aging research first hand.
